The key to physical activity is to equal out any muscle imbalances and optimize overall functionality of the body. The Chiropractor and Kinesiologist will work in combination to help the client to their best of their abilities.
Chiropractic Care for Exercise:
Chiropractic treatment along with both cardiovascular and strength training gives our patients the best results. Dr. Ashizawa will use certain strength and/ or endurance exercises to help progress you through your treatment. Many studies have reported the importance of exercises in managing acute and chronic low back pain to help reduce overall pain. Strengthening the low back, along with strengthening of the abdominal muscles has been found to be prevent acute low back pain from re-occurring or becoming chronic.
Overall and when combined with chiropractic care, aerobic exercise can help promote proper digestion, helps maintain the muscles in proper tone and promotes an increase in circulation. The Chiropractor in combination with the Kinesiologist will work together to come up with the best exercise program whether it's an at home or in clinic plan to help aid in the patients' overall goals.
Kinesiology Care for Exercise:
Kaitlyn will help guide a client through exercise testing and determine postural, flexibility and muscle imbalances throughout the assessment, while offering a fitness program based upon the muscle needs of the body. Kinesiologists use the latest evidence-based research as well as studies on health and a combination to help treat a client. With additional principals in biomechanics, physiology and anatomy a Kinesiologist can effectively implement physical activity, general nutrition guidance and can help to correct movement execution to prevent, treat and manage injuries, chronic diseases and other health impairments.
Kinesiology encompasses a wide range of care that can be offered to a variety of individuals either within rehabilitation or the healthy population. Kinesiology can be applied to help treat and/or prevent musculoskeletal injuries, a selected amount of chronic diseases, neurological disorders through mobility improvement, post surgery rehabilitation, etc. Anyone can benefit from Kinesiology care!
